From Geneva Airport (Cointrin)

1. In the Arrival Hall ("Arrivées") at Geneva Airport, take the escalator to the Departure level ("Départs"). Go out of the Airport, and the bus stop is on the left. Get a ticket from the machine (see below).

2. Take the bus no. 10, and get off at the stop "Bel-Air".

3. With the river behind you, walk straight one block to the tram line.

4. Take tram 12 or 16 towards "Moillesulaz" (see the front of the tram).

5. Get off at the stop "Amandolier (SNCF)".

6. Turn to face the way you came. Walk back down the street on the left hand side. You will cross one intersection with traffic lights shortly after getting off the tram. Continue down the tram line about 40 metres, and you will see a small road on the left called Clos Belmont. Walk up that road and you will see a sign for the World Alliance of YMCAs.

From Geneva Train Station (Cornavin):

1. When you come out of the station, turn right and walk across one intersection. You should now be following the tram line and there will probably be one or two trams waiting at a stop just after the intersection, in front of the cinema.

2. Take tram no. 16.

3. Get off at the stop "Amandolier (SNCF)",

4. Turn to face the way you came. Walk back down the street on the left hand side. You will cross one intersection with traffic lights shortly after getting off the tram. Continue down the tram line about 40 metres, and you will see a small road on the left called Clos Belmont. Walk up that road and you will see a sign for the World Alliance of YMCAs.then follow step 6 above.

In general:

Find the tram lines and look for number 12 or 16. There is always a bus (TPG) route map at each stop and you should be able to find the "Amandolier (SNCF)". Of course if you are unfamiliar with the city you can always ask or call the World Alliance for help.

How to get a bus ticket from the machine

1. "Choisir le titre de transport" (Select the ticket)

Press button in yellow Column A: "Billet tout Genève"

2. "Choisir" (Choose) - nothing to choose

3. "Payer". Put money in slot: CHF 3.00 for "Billet tout Genève" - no change given. (This ticket allows you to travel for one hour on all the buses.)
