Argentina YMCA – Commitment to Indigenous Peoples

For several years the YMCA of Argentina holds the ‘Permanent Forum for Indigenous Peoples’ Rights’. In the month of June taking place an exhibition of handicrafts of different ethnic groups, conferences and debates on the violated rights of aboriginal peoples. This year was during the first week of June. It was attended by a community leader Qoom, Feliz Diaz, which maintained an attitude of protest for a couple of months in downtown Buenos Aires, including roadblocks.

This forum also has among its activities, the annual mission to the province of Salta in which young leaders of the Argentina YMCA shared with the population Wichi. The forum aims to bring the centers of power the voice of the voiceless.
