YMCA World Challenge 2012 Hoop Springs Eternal
“YMCA Empowering Young People”

The World Alliance of YMCAs is delighted to invite the World YMCA Movement to participate in a new initiative – a lifetime experience starting in 2012 that will demonstrate the relevance of the YMCA to itself and to the World as part of the NEW WAY strategic plan and its emphasis on Youth Empowerment.

The English YMCA movement presented this project to the World Council of YMCAs in 2010 and, together with the World Alliance, has been preparing its launch since then. A resolution supporting this initiative was passed at World Council, so it now needs execution by the World Movement.

Our famous speaker at THE UNITED NATIONS, ROMULO DANTAS, has worked hard to prepare the attached presentation and all of us here at NEW WAY in Geneva urge you to get involved in this next chapter of NEW WAY, it will be a lot of fun, it will be a great opportunity to profile your local and National YMCA, and we will use the collective effort to further position the YMCA as a leading youth agency in the world.
