Stories from Long Beach YMCA

Date: 04 April 2022

I signed up for this course because I like to learn new things and I think it is a great opportunity to learn so many important topics not only for my own good but also to share what I learn here. I think that everything you learn can open new doors for you and it is very exciting.

My name is María Holguin, I am 49 years old and have two daughters, one 14 and the other 12. I am a housewife and I dream of learning about these business orientation courses to know how to plan, finance, communicate, operate and promote. I want to learn to be able to generate an income and at the same time teach others, so that they can also have an opportunity for extra or perhaps unique income…

Another thing is that this technology is a challenge…that’s why I’m excited about this project, and ALL the human and technological resources that they put into our services….a thousand and a thousand thanks YMCA AND HP

My name is Maria Josefina Torres. I have 4 children and I am a housewife. I like to learn from EVERYTHING I can. I like to help and get involved in my community. I think that learning is also an escape from so many challenges that we are facing, because the team is very supportive and we listen to each other and thus also learn. Thank you to the YMCA and HP for this opportunity.

My name is José Edmundo Zamora, I am 53 years old, I am a husband and father of 4 children, and a resident of Long Beach CA. USES. I want to take this opportunity to thank the YMCA and HP for the opportunity they give me to continue improving myself. I firmly believe without fear of being wrong that these HP classes will be of great benefit to me since I have always had a job where skills and physical effort are required. After an accident at work I have not recovered 100% and I think it is time to turn my life around and start a more relaxed life working intelligently, with technology and spending quality time with my family. I hope not to let them down and successfully finish my classes.
