2025 was another year of momentum for the worldwide YMCA Movement, with more National Movements aligning their work with Vision 2030 and strengthening the foundations needed to deliver meaningful change in communities.
Highlights from the year include:
- Vision 2030 alignment continued to grow, with over 75 YMCA National Movements now actively aligned with the strategy.
- The Movement created more shared global moments, including a gathering of National General Secretaries in Düsseldorf and online convenings across the year.
- The road to Toronto is underway, with the 21st YMCA World Council launched in late July and over 1,200 people registered by year’s end.
- Movement strengthening advanced, with a Health Assessment online tool piloted among 25 National Movements to support organisational capacity.
- Digital Equity continued to expand, reaching well over 1 million young people with digital skills through 30 partner YMCAs.
- Youth leadership stayed central, with the 6th cohort of YMCA Change Agents launching in April, bringing together 85 youth leaders from 44 countries.
