As a response to address the crisis of COVID19, on March 29, 2020 the Youth Forum of Birisiri YMCA and APAY School of Peace alumni of Birisiri in Bangladesh have initiated action programs to prevent the spread out this virus. The youth members of the YMCA are regularly spraying disinfectant as a preventive measure in villages of Birisiri and the Utrail bazaar. They continued the awareness building campaign among the community people and at the bazaar. They distributed coronavirus awareness leaflets with information for the prevention of COVID19, like proper method of hand washing, importance of staying at home, avoiding meeting-seminar or gathering, maintaining social distance, etc. They encouraged the villagers to use masks and hand gloves. One hundred shops and 350 families were visited for this purpose.
