“It was fabulous!” said World YMCA Secretary General, Johan Vilhelm Eltvik. “A fellowship of leaders, a think- tank for a great movement, a laboratory for the future, a work shop for Youth Empowerment. It was joyful, because it was a coming together of friends from 70 countries around the world to create the most globalized event possible!”
The second Global Training Event for the YMCA Change Agents 2015-2016 cohort has just completed.
“The change. It starts with us” said one participant.
This event was just ten days but this concludes a two year journey for this group. The impact will continue for a long time, with over 150 new projects created to benefit local communities in local YMCAs.
“We hope they will all meet again in 2018 when the World YMCA returns to Chiang Mai for the 18th World Council in July, 2018”, Johan added.
Registrations for the 3rd cohort for 2017-2018 will open in October 2016.
