The East Jerusalem YMCA is distributing emergency provisions to communities which have been hardest hit by the COVID-19 virus.
“The lockdown began on March 5th” says Peter Nassir, “and has just been extended by another month. YMCA staff and volunteers are distributing packages containing basic foods, household cleaning products and toiletries, so that people can keep themselves and their environment safe, and don’t need to go out in search of essential items.”
Packages are being distributed to Bethlehem, Beit Jala and Beit Sahour. You can follow East Jerusalem YMCA’s activities on their Facebook page.
