South Sudan YMCA, located in the Eastern zone, was established in 2014. It currently operates in six different localities, namely Yambio, Juba, Miridi, Mundri, Nzara, and Rirangu. As an Associate Member of the Alliance of African YMCAs (AAY), it maintains a membership count of 617 individuals. These members can be further categorized into males, females, and youths, with a total of 41 members falling under the youth category. The organization is supported by a team of 25 full-time staff members, three part-time staff members, and four volunteers. The YMCA was registered with the government, has a functioning secretariat, albeit with limited resources, managed by a single staff member.
