World YMCA is deeply concerned at the deteriorating situation in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. On 12 May 2021, we issued a statement, calling for immediate de-escalation of violence.

On Wednesday 19 May 2021 at 14:00 Geneva time, Peter Nasir, General Secretary of YMCA East Jerusalem, Rana Faroum, CEO of Jerusalem International YMCA, and Hani Farah, General Secretary of YMCA Gaza will be joined by Rev Prov Dr Mitri Raheb, President of Dar al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture in Bethlehem, to offer us a direct update on the situation.  You are warmly invited to listen to their updates and experiences, in a conversation which will be moderated by World YMCA President Patricia Pelton.

The aim of the meeting is to get updates on this ongoing crisis, and to develop clearer perspectives on how we can stand in solidarity with  members of the global YMCA community in Palestine and Israel.
