Appeal for support for displaced and affected families in Gaza

The remaining YMCA community in Gaza, nearly 2,000 strong, continues to support women, children, and families through the pain and trauma of nearly two years of devastation since October 2023.

Despite losing their building, YMCA Gaza is still supporting around 100 families through church-based outreach. Young people have lost access to everything they once loved. Sport, art, music, education, and connection are all out of reach. Yet the team continues to serve with dignity, resilience, and hope.
We are aiming to raise USD 50,000 to support humanitarian efforts in Gaza and the vital work of our YMCA colleagues. Funds will be delivered by our partners Caritas and the Middle East Council of Churches.
In the words of YMCA Board Member Emad Elsayegh: ‘Together we have the power to make Gaza’s voice heard, call for justice, and mobilise support for those who need it most. May our compassion bring real and lasting hope to every child, woman and man in Gaza.’
