World YMCA, in collaboration with the Big 6 Alliance of Youth Organizations, is engaged in the Global Youth Mobilization for Generation Disrupted (GYMGD) project, co-funded by the World Health Organization and the UN Foundation. The project aims to change the narrative towards highlighting the efforts that young people all over the world are making to support their communities to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are launching a Call for Applications for small grants to fund National Projects implemented by YMCA National Movements. Eligible projects should provide opportunities for young people to support their local communities’ pandemic response and recovery efforts through volunteer activities through the delivery of non-formal education, learning and other activities which develop the skills, perseverance and resilience needed to become active citizens and well-rounded adults.

Răzvan-Victor SASSU, World YMCA Head of Policy & Strategy, says: “We’re delighted that the GYMGD is underway, and that YMCAs all over the world can now bid for funding to launch or continue their own projects to put young people at the center of the COVID-19 response”.

This Call for Applications will close on 12 April. If you are interested in applying, please contact the National General Secretary of your national YMCA Movement.
