How to partner with and invest in the Change Agents programme

For companies: employee engagement & global impact

Partnering with the YMCA Change Agent programme offers companies a unique opportunity for employee engagement, both globally and locally. Employees can mentor, develop training modules, and participate in events, directly supporting young people while connecting to communities where you operate.

Companies can also co-create leadership materials and modules that become resources for the entire global YMCA Movement, deepening your brand’s positive impact and building relationships with current and future YMCA leaders worldwide.

For foundations & individuals

Support for the Change Agent programme is an investment in young people who often lack access to opportunities. Your partnership will help us build the capabilities of talented, passionate young people, mainly from underserved communities, giving them the chance to become transformative leaders. By partnering with the YMCA, you help expand a tested, global initiative that amplifies youth voices and catalyzes grassroots impact to pressing community and global sustainable development challenges.

For funders from within the YMCA

By investing in the Change Agent programme, you are helping to build the future leadership talent of the entire YMCA Movement. This programme creates a pipeline of inspired, equipped, and connected young leaders who will carry forward the YMCA mission for generations to come. Your support strengthens the global YMCA Movement from within, ensuring that YMCAs everywhere benefit from dynamic, diverse, and well-prepared young people who can lead positive change.

Your investment in action

Funds raised for the Change Agent programme directly support:

  • The creation of cutting-edge leadership development materials and resources
  • Long-term mentoring and coaching for Change Agents
  • Micro-grants that empower Change Agents to design and lead innovative projects with their local YMCA, addressing real-world sustainable development issues and applying their new knowledge in practice.

By supporting the YMCA Change Agent programme, you help empower the next generation of leaders, drive positive change in communities worldwide, and leave a legacy of opportunity and hope.

Enhesa and World YMCA: Empowering Change Together

The World YMCA proudly partnered with Enhesa, a global leader in environmental, health, and safety intelligence, to strengthen community impact, support sustainability initiatives, and nurture the next generation of youth leaders in sustainability.

Through this collaboration, Enhesa employees participated in volunteering opportunities with YMCAs in Vancouver, Bath, Setúbal, Tokyo, Washington D.C. and the global online opportunity with Change Agents. These opportunities centered on supporting young people and underserved communities to develop skills and capabilities that will help them on their employment journey.

A cornerstone of our partnership has been the YMCA Change Agents programme. Enhesa employees from around the world mentored and coached YMCA Change Agents in two key areas: first, co-developing a comprehensive training module on ESG to help YMCAs and young people shape more sustainable business strategies; and second, guiding Change Agents as they designed and launched innovative community projects tackling pressing social and environmental challenges in their communities.

Together, Enhesa and World YMCA are investing in youth leadership, sustainability, and stronger communities worldwide.
