Andrew McKenzie, from Australia is appointed as the new Executive Secretary for Communications at the World YMCA.
From February 1st 2015, Andrew McKenzie, an experienced Australian communications professional, will join the World YMCA team to support the delivery of OUR WAY strategy. Andrews currently works for Victoria YMCA, in Melbourne as Marketing Manager and has been providing leadership on the national brand process for the YMCA in Australia.
With previous experiences in organisations like Disney, World Vision, Holden (General Motors) and the Australian Football league, Andrew brings a unique set of experiences to the World YMCA in general communications, branding, events and fundraising.
Andrew will be working from Melbourne joining the other members of the staff team in Geneva regularly for face-to-face meetings.
Married and father of two, Andrew is also is a runner and has taken part in several marathons in different parts of the World. “Running helps me help others”, says Andrew in his blog.
