Resource Group on the Environment meets

Date: 31 May 2021

The World YMCA Resource Group on the Environment (RGE) is an international resource group for young people from the YMCA movement which is focused on advocacy and climate education on the environment.

The YMCA needs to lead by example, and the environment is one of four pillars in our global strategy, as we channel young people’s commitment to climate justice and sustainability.

Everyone is welcome, and no specific or technical knowledge is required to join.

On 27 May 2021. we had our fifth General Meeting of the year.  We shared worldwide environmental news, and our working group on climate education set out plans for its half- year seminar on sustainability which begins on June 7 (yes, the same day as the YMCA Youth-Led Solutions Summit on The Future of Work).  You can join the sustainability seminar by registering here.

Meanwhile our working group on the COP (Conference of the Parties) is preparing its work for the COP 26 climate summit in Glasgow in November 2021.

We stand for positive ambitious change and hope; we strive to be green leaders and changemakers in the global YMCA community.
