The Ignite Show

This month, the YMCA is launching The Ignite Show, showcasing how colleagues around the world are working on implementing and activating Vision 2030.

The show follows on from the successful 20th YMCA World Council ‘Daily Shows’, broadcast live from the Aarhus studio in July 2022. The 45-minute Ignite Show will feature interviews, YMCA work around the world, young leaders, panel discussions and interactive components. Get ready to join a lively event! Mark your calendars for 17 January 2023 at 14:00 CET/Geneva time.

Vision 2030

At the 20th World Council, the global YMCA Movement came together to adopt a collective Vision and Mission. Vision 2030 includes four Pillars of Impact: Community Wellbeing, Meaningful Work, Sustainable Planet and Just World. Furthermore, each Pillar includes three goals at the local, community and global levels to turn priorities into action.

As 2022 came to a close, National Movements and Area Alliance had begun adopting Vision 2030 into their strategic plans. See here.

The Practical Guide

In November 2022, we released the YMCA Vision 2030 Practical Guide for YMCAs. World YMCA Secretary General Carlos Sanvee called it the “crucial next step in our collective Vision 2030 journey”.
