Training future social change agents, digitally

Date: 04 April 2020

Hundreds of young people in Kosova are developing crucial skills thanks to online YMCA e ducation sessions.

“After our physical centres closed, YMCA youth workers started to transfer every program to an online format,” says Dorina Davis. “We now have over 600 young people participating in more than 40 different education sessions, covering leadership skills, TenSing/art program, peace training between communities, and more.

The education programme, run in partnership with UNICEF, aims to empower youth to become social change agents in their community. With more training sessions in the pipeline, it will soon reach up to 1200 youth, as many as were participating prior to the current crisis.
