In March 2012, the YMCA World Challenge has been granted the institutional support of the International Federation of Basketball – FIBA, and UNESCO . Both organizations are worldwide partners of the initiative and will support the YMCA in promoting the Challenge on a global scale. The logos of FIBA and UNESCO will be used in association with the event.
The partnership opens up possibilities for the national YMCAs to connect with national representation of both institutions.
To date, the YMCAs in 54 countries will be participating in the YMCA World Challenge and numbers are still growing.
