In addition to being members of the World Alliance of YMCAs, most National YMCA Movements are also affiliated to regional YMCA bodies, known as Area Alliances. In Africa, Asia and Pacific, Europe, and Latin America and the Caribbean, Area Alliances support National Movements by helping to build their capacity, fundraising, building strategic partnerships at regional level, and facilitating communications in the region. The Middle East region has a Committee of YMCAs, rather than a formal Area Alliance, based in Egypt.

Las Alianzas de Área de la YMCA
Además de ser miembros de la Alianza Mundial de YMCAs, la mayoría de Movimientos Nacionales de la YMCA también están afiliados a organizaciones regionales de la YMCA, conocidas como Alianzas de Área. En África, Asia y el Pacífico, Europa y América Latina y el Caribe, las Alianzas de Área apoyan a los Movimientos Nacionales con ayuda para desarrollar sus capacidades, recaudar fondos, consolidar alianzas estratégicas a nivel regional, y facilitar comunicaciones en la región. La región del Medio Oriente tiene un Comité de YMCAs en vez de una Alianza de Área, y su sede está en Egipto.
