World YMCA partners with McKinsey Health Institute to strengthen Vision 2030 Community Wellbeing work

Topic: Vision 2030

Date: 26 June 2026

World YMCA is pleased to collaborate with McKinsey Health Institute (MHI) to advance the Community Wellbeing Pillar of YMCA Vision 2030.

Through this collaboration, MHI will support the development of the Community Wellbeing ‘Case for Change’, and explore approaches to measuring wellbeing outcomes across YMCA communities worldwide.

Bringing together YMCA’s global reach and local delivery and MHI’s expertise in health, wellbeing and research, this work will help build a stronger evidence base for YMCA’s contribution to healthier, more connected, and resilient communities.

MHI and World YMCA already share a forward-leaning understanding of wellbeing that encompasses mental, physical, social and spiritual health. The organizations also share ecosystems including the Brain Economy Action Forum, co-organized by the World Economic Forum and MHI, with whom World YMCA is a Pathfinder.

The Community Wellbeing Pillar is led by the East Jerusalem YMCA, with a Steering Committee of leaders across all areas of the Movement as part of World YMCA’s Vision 2030 agenda.

Further updates will be shared as the work progresses.
