World YMCA seeks for a Senior Executive for Movement Strengthening

The World YMCA is losing a very important member of its Executive Staff, and therefore we are now recruiting her replacement to cover the responsibility under the title Movement Strengthening. This will include, but not be limited to, coordination of global Movement Strengthening and Organizational Development Initiatives, Governance and Leadership Development, New Global Flagship Programme Development for  Youth Empowerment, Impact Assessment and Monitoring of OUR WAY Strategy Delivery.

There will be a number of important administrative functions. 

The Senior Executive Secretary for Movement Strengthening will report directly to the Secretary General.

The Start date will be 1st January 2015.

Applications should include the following:

1. A Curriculum Vitae (including academic qualifications, specialised studies, work experience, present responsibilities, international experiences, age, nationality, church affiliation, family composition, languages spoken, etc.).

2. A paper (not more than 5 pages) indicating the applicant’s view of the mission of the YMCA, its relation with youth empowerment and how she/he proposes to implement the job description in order to support implementation of OUR WAY Strategic Plan. Illustrations from personal work experiences are important.

3. Details of YMCA Experience and involvement as staff or volunteer.

4. A recent passport-size photograph of the applicant.

5. Names and addresses of three referees.

6. A health certificate.
