YMCA-SERBIA-Bački Petrovac was established in 2008 as a non-profit and non-governmental organization under the name Udruženje YMCA Bački Petrovac. It enjoys support from various entities, including the Municipality of Bački Petrovac, Jan Čajak Elementary School, Jan Kollar High School, Slovak Vojvodina Theater, YMCA Europe, and the World Alliance of YMCAs. The organization commenced active operations in 2011, initially focusing on four activities: Summer Day camp, Easter, and Christmas creative workshops for children, and Kulpin Fest (now known as Backup Fest). In 2015, it underwent a name change to YMCA –SERBIA- Bački Petrovac, signifying its national YMCA status within Serbia. Presently, YMCA – SERBIA- Bački Petrovac stands as the sole YMCA organization in Serbia.
