YMCA Alternative Tourism

Visit Cambodia, Siberia – aboard the Trans-Siberian Railway or Nepal in 2018 with YMCA Alternative Tourism.

These tours are specially prepared for the YMCA and each provides a unique experience by combining the best tourism highlights with an insight into the life-changing work of the local YMCAs.

The 2018 tours now open for bookings are:
• Cambodia – 20-27 May
• Siberia – aboard the Trans-Siberian Railway – 31 July -10 August
• Nepal – 20-27 November

Alternative Tourism is a social enterprise that supports the YMCAs Youth Empowerment mission. Each tour is designed based on the principles of Alternative Tourism assuring an authentic community-based tourism experience for all.

These tours are not limited to just YMCA people and all are welcome to join.

See Cambodia come to life from Phnom Penh to Angkor Wat, through ruins of ancient civilisations, between quilted rice paddies and into traditional rural villages.

A unique experience travelling from Russia to Vladivostok aboard the historic Trans-Siberian Railway. Includes day visits in Moscow and Vladivostok.
