The Christian Association of Young People in Vienna was founded in 1896. The association house was later built in 1911, and finally inaugurated on 31 October 1912. During the First World War, YMCA Vienna acted as a home for soldiers. Prior to the Second World War, YMCA Vienna was banned and discontinued. The YMCA received the house back in 1948, and IT was reconstructed in 2000. Today, the YMCA in Vienna offers a youth café, gymnastics, archery, football, and spiritual works across their five locations which include YMCA South-East, YMCA Graz, YMCA Camp Sibley, CVJM Bludenz, and CVJM Berghaus Valisera.
