The YMCA of Macau was officially inaugurated on 9 February 1994. The first membership campaign was conducted in 1995 and 257 members were recruited, all of whom became the founder members of YMCA of Macau. It became a full member of the World Alliance of YMCAs in 2010. In 2002, the YMCA was awarded the 2001 “Youth Affairs Committee Award” by the Macau Youth Affairs Committee. The services of the Association now focus on the prevention and developmental work of children and adolescents, promoting drug abuse prevention education, promoting an active and healthy life, and developing young people’s potential.
